Chicks!! Love, and New Blogs!

Sugar Ray - Someday

So, this morning my mom and dad were talking about their childhood, and how they both lived on a farm and all. they said they missed chickens. right. well, we live in the city. so keeping chickens at our House is against the law. lol but we have the piece of property we own, we call it the duck lease. because my dad and his friends all own it together, and hunt ducks every duck season there. they deer hunt there too. i will have you know i never eat anything they shoot. it makes me sick. i think ill be vegan now. so yeah, my mom was like, we should get chickens, because the duck-lease is really close to us, (within walking distance) out outside the city limits. soo, later that day, (3pm) my dad comes home with a cardboard box. and its full of baby chicks!there are 24 in there, all cheeping and stuff. they are all round and fluffyy!!!! so cute!

so we each claimed two, and there are some to spare. here are our chicks and some of the crazy names we have to for them. =3

Mine.. Chuck Norris and no-name

Jim's Chicks, Charlie and Hatchet.

Sam's Birds, named after his best friend Aden, and we think his future wife, maria, (a red head)he says its named after Mary maria, mother of god. we don't believe him, lol.

so i need a name for my one of my chicks. something girly. because, poor chuck, she's a girl. lol

don't ask about the chuck Norris thing, lol. i kinda feel bad for that bird.

but no-name needs a real name. or I'm just gonna call her NN. =P

so we wont be eating any of these sweet little things thank god, but keeping them for eggs and stuff. so they are the sweetest. my mom named her two chicka-poo and chicka-pee after her childhood chickens. the rest look like little round hamsters or big chipmunks! allot! so we named them Alvin, Theodor, Simon, Rudolph, and Roosevelt.
there are still some no-names left. we will let our dad name those ones.

Aw the chicks are so cute! I had chickens when I was growing up and they were lots of fun! How do you like etsy, is it better than eBay?
